YELLOW RUMPED WARBLERS ARE PRETTY TOO!

LEFT-CLICK ON IMAGES TO ENLARGE

Yellow-rumped Warblers are here en masse during the winter months and often overlooked as common as they are but you gotta love the cute little guys / gals !  :)

One more for good measure.

The fidgety little Ruby-crowned Kinglets can drive you absolutely nuts as they never seem to sit still especially when it's time for their picture to be taken.  :)

This Red-tailed Hawk with his dark-colored chin was a most unusual Raptor to find in Calcasieu Parish.

Bill Clark wrote, "This is a somewhat unusual adult Red-tail. I have seen similar adults in Alberta in summer. It seems to have a mixture of genes, mainly northern (abieticola), but with some western and some Harlan's. The dark throat comes from the first and last of the above."

The Red-tailed Hawks with their subspecies and variations make their ID most challenging.

Meadowlark

This immature Red-shouldered Hawk with his ruffled feathers was perched atop a limb amidst a set of trees overlooking a pasture while keeping a sharp lookout for a meal below.

Can you feel the intensity?

Thanks for looking!  :)
