HARRIS'S SPARROW
A special thanks to Paul Conover for finding this uncommon Harris's Sparrow and passing on its location. It was exciting to have an opportunity to photograph this extraordinary Sparrow to share with others.
This immature male Harris's Sparrow was mixed with Savannah and White-Crowned Sparrows on Ellis Moss Road in Calcasieu Parish, LA.

He bounced around various perches in a tree with limbs blocking any chance for a picture. Miraculously he landed on a limb providing an opening for his picture.
His fluffed-up crown added some personality to this handsome fella.
An irisdescent European Starling with his short tail and sharp pointed beak landed in the top of the same tree. He was showing off his vibrant plumage all but asking for his photo to be taken.
Thanks for looking, :)
Tom
